This month’s report has been compiled by Richard from Great Grounds & Gardens Ltd.
About Great Grounds & Gardens ltd.
Great Grounds and Gardens Ltd is owned, managed and worked by Richard & Jeff. As owner-operators they attend the site themselves; there is always an owner of Great Grounds & Gardens Ltd at every job. They offer competitive rates and do it because they love it. Their success comes from their delivery and commitment to doing a great job, delivering results and going the extra mile.
Grass cutting, strimming and cleaning of paths
As we set out to achieve, on our grass visits we cut, strim and clean all grass on site. It’s really being noticed by people and irrespective of where you live on the site residents can see that there area has been attended to. We have completed two full grass cuts in May.

Cleared the fenceline along Long Causeway
We had missed this but as soon as it was brought to our attention we attended within 48 hours

Hedge trimming
We continue to rotate around the site trimming and sometimes allowing shrubs to flower. There is a lot of hypericum on site that sadly we can’t allow to fully bloom as it will obstruct parking bays, paths or extend beyond window ledges.

The Cow Parsley looked great when in full bloom
One word to note… whilst parsley is great as a foraged food source, be mindful that it looks very similar to Hemlock which is toxic to humans and they do grow side by side.
Barrels and planters
A little late going in but they are coming on.

Concerns
A little behind on herbicide treatment is the only concern at present.
Inspection / Is there anything you need to be made aware of?
Many of the trees have unsightly base growth. When we conducted our walk around in September 2021 it was advised whilst we were walking in the park area that trees we managed by someone else. We can happily quote to take this part of the tree work on and manage across the site. There is not a requirement to seek authorisation for cutting in TPO (tree protection order) or conservation area for this work.
